Northern Utah Card
Northern Utah Card!
Inspired by Ben Lomond Peak, Ogden Canyon, Ogden Canyon Waterfall, and the Ogden River this piece hopefully reminds you of the beauty and flow of Ogden. The background was made with some locally sourced pigments to give the viewer the feel of Utah.
Ogden Canyon Card
Inspired by the marathon route. Starting down by Pineview Reservoir, taking you up Ogden Canyon, and flipping your perspective. As you start out in the image you are looking at Pineview from the west to east with Powder Mountain off in the distance high above on the left of the painting. You move through Ogden Canyon and the Snow Basin ridge lines are flipped to the left as if you are running through the canyon and the Ogden Waterfall appears on your right in the image. By switching some of the iconic scenery around I hope to give the viewer a sense of movement as the sun rises with the day and the colors celebrate the light touching the landscape. Made with some locally sourced pigments to give the viewer the feel of Utah.
Ornament - Winter in Utah
Surrounded by the powder snow the Wasatch Mountains are iconically known for, these piece showcase each of the three ski resorts around Ogden: Snow Basin, Powder Mountain, and Nordic Valley. Painted with crisp winter tones and using mineral pigments to capture the natural colors of the landscape. Each piece is carefully cut out on a bandsaw and sanded, so each one is unique. The back is blank wood if you want to write on the back.
Prints 11x14 - United States National Park Map
Inspired by the National Parks in America, this piece took over 2 and a half years to create. Using my old road trip atlas to trace each state and painting each one as I reflected on the parks I have been to and dreamed of the ones I have yet to visit. If a state didn’t have any National Parks, I would use National Monuments or State Parks. I only included human structures if they were created by Native Americas. These choices guided each state and when the project was finalized a local digital artist pieced all the states together to create this print. Intentionally printed on paper to give it the look and feel of watercolor, which is what all the original ones were created with. There are prints available, cards, and stickers of each state.
