Ogden Canyon Hat
Ogden Canyon Hat - Inspired by the marathon route. Starting down by Pineview Reservoir, taking you up Ogden Canyon, and flipping your perspective. As you start out in the image you are looking at Pineview from the west to east with Powder Mountain off in the distance high above on the left of the painting. You move through Ogden Canyon and the Snow Basin ridge lines are flipped to the left as if you are running through the canyon and the Ogden Waterfall appears on your right in the image. By switching some of the iconic scenery around I hope to give the viewer a sense of movement as the sun rises with the day and the colors celebrate the light touching the landscape. Made with some locally sourced pigments to give the viewer the feel of Utah.
